ALPINE ALPINE PARALYMPIC   Whistler Creekside Sport Events Sport Events are major national or international events, such as World Cups or World Championships that will take place in the Vancouver and Whistler area in 2008 and early 2009. Training Events Training events are local, national or international sporting events organized by a Local Organizing Committee (LOC) with support from VANOC Sport and limited to no involvement from other VANOC functional areas. They are generally much smaller in scale and scope than Sport Events and Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and are generally focused on the field of play and the technical elements of organizing a competition.
