With an ear to ear smile and her blond hair tied in pigtails beneath her torchbearer toque, Sarah Doherty glowed on stage as she looked out into her cheering community crowd while standing next to the burning cauldron she just lit – as the final community torchbearer for Day 98 in Sechelt, BC. >>>

Mothers, fathers and grandparents held the hands of their little ones as they danced around a giant crackling fire – smoke ascended through a hole in the roof. Some were dressed in traditional clothing, some had Canadian flags draped around their shoulders. >>>

Throughout the 95 days of the Olympic Torch Relay, the flame has been blessed over 100 times in Aboriginal communities spanning the country. This morning, over a traditional First Nations welcome in the small island village of Bella Bella, it received five more. >>>

Jesse Smith had a little help carrying the Olympic Flame in his hometown of Haisla, B.C. Standing in front of a stunning backdrop of fiords, low clouds and the Pacific Ocean, he looks up at his torch and smiles. “My sister recently passed on, so it's an honour to carry this. Days 94 Highlights
Day 94 marks the return of the Olympic Torch Relay to the north. This time to Northern British Colombia. As a light snow was falling on Dawson Creek, the plane landed. The whole city was gathered at South Peace Community Multiplex and was waiting for the arrival of the flame. >>>
Days 92 Highlights
It's the party you don't want to miss. Twice a day, everyday, the Olympic Flame stops for a one-hour celebration in a chosen community along the route. Nothing is held back – there are a variety of local performers ranging from cultural shows to music to dance and sport and everything in between. >>>

When you're on a 45,000-km journey across a country as big and diverse as Canada, it's important to get rest when you can. While the flame has the chance to slow down every evening in a lantern after the evening celebration, the crew that travels with it day-in day-out must also re-charge. That's where RON comes in. >>>

And, the resident from Creston B.C says she has the best of the bunch. “This is a great group of people,” she smiles, pointing to the cheerful men and women behind her — greeting people at the door, refilling teas and coffees, and dishing out dollops of homemade goodness. >>>
