Summer, Winter, Spring or Fall … there is a lot to keep you busy in Merritt. Merritt is a wonderful place for outdoor enthusiasts, In winter the cross- country skiing is superb and there are many snowmobiling trails. In summer, Nicola Lake will lure you … be it for a cooling dip or skimming the surface waters via windsurfer or sailboat (there's a good chance of a steady breeze). There are two nine-hole golf courses — challenging yet easy on the wallet. Spring, summer and fall — hike or bike through our beautiful valley. One of our mottos is "A Lake a Day as Long as You Stay." This area is known for some of the best fly-fishing in the world. Spin casters are welcome too of course! There are quite a number of camping areas around, including Claybanks right in the heart of Merritt, on the banks of the Coldwater River.

Note that the exact time of celebration for each community is approximate, and subject to change.
