Camps d’été en environnement
Sep 10, 2009
Week-long camps for youth aged 12 to 17 years from across New Brunswick.
Activities include: hiking through the forest, canoeing down the river, a compass rally, educational workshops dealing with the environment, etc.
Over the past 16 years, the University of Moncton’s Edmundston Campus, through the Forestry Faculty’s Experimental Forest initiative, has been running "Discovering your Environment" summer camps in order to provide grade 6 to 11 students the opportunity to indulge like never before in outdoor activities. Whether it be hiking, canoeing down the river or a compass rally, campers can fill their lungs with fresh air while taking in fabulous sights. By taking part in outdoor adventure, they feel even more concerned about environmental issues that threaten our beautiful ecological resource. Following their week at camp, these nature ambassadors return to their homes located throughout New Brunswick.
