Sound of the Ocean at National Theatre, Chinese Taipei

Taiwan’s Taoist masters tell the story of “the water of life, which nourishes our souls,” This original work by U Theatre combines extraordinary drumming, martial arts, meditation, modern theatrical training and ancient Chinese opera. Gongs, drums and temple bells trace the journey of a drop of water as it falls from the sky and joins other drops in a fast running stream that flows into the vast ocean.
