Turning Point Ensemble

One night and three intimate chamber symphonies will be played by Vancouver’s Turning Point Ensemble. The symphonies include the world premiere of a daring new work by BC composer John Oliver and the Canadian premiere of John Adams’ rhythmically exciting Son of Chamber Symphony. Both composers were inspired by the influential 20th century composer Arnold Schoenberg, best known for his challenging atonal creations. The ensemble will also tackle Schoenberg’s seminal piece Chamber Symphony for 15 Soloists
