Common gestures and movements, like brushing back a friend’s hair, are taken to hilarious new heights unhampered by the performers’ complete lack of formal dance training. Set to delightfully cheesy pop ditties like Dreamweaver and The Safety Dance, Poetics: a ballet brut builds into a skewed dance of life in a surprising finale.
