On the surface, this is a story of two Saskatchewan towns: a defunct francophone village and a neighbouring prosperous English township. Dig deeper and this heroic, touching script reveals the pain and anger of a man trying to come to terms with his own marginalized existence and the struggle to maintain the relevance of his culture, family and town. Stories of childhood are his vehicles of choice.
