The Game Plan

VANOC has been committed to reflecting the linguistic duality of Canada since the beginning. In 2002, when the 2010 Winter Games were still in their planning stages, VANOC and some of its key partners came together and signed the Multi-Party Agreement (MPA) [PDF, 297 KB] which details each party’s contractual obligations in staging the 2010 Winter Games, including the Organizing Committee’s official languages commitments. VANOC’s responsibilities, as outlined in Annex A [PDF, 34KB] of the MPA, became the foundation for the official languages game plan.

Like any game, planning is only part of it. You need a passionate team dedicated to success and willing to go beyond what is written on paper. Thanks to the team’s effort, VANOC intends to deliver on its official languages promises. Read more about VANOC’s promise to Canadians.
