Lying in the heart of the mountains and surrounded by nature, Whistler has abundant winter snowfall, mild temperatures and a vibrant cosmopolitan village. Whistler Blackcomb, one of the best skiing and snowboarding areas in the world, is a mecca for winter enthusiasts. It’s here that you, your family and friends, and people from around the world will find an alpine winter experience that captures the essence of the 2010 Winter Games.
Take in competitions during the day, and celebrate with free events in Whistler Village at night. Whistler Creekside is the site of alpine skiing; Whistler Olympic Park/Whistler Paralympic Park in the Callaghan Valley will be the site for Nordic combined, biathlon, cross-country skiing and ski jumping events; and The Whistler Sliding Centre on Blackcomb Mountain will host bobsleigh, luge and skeleton competitions. All of Whistler’s Olympic and Paralympic competition venues have been completed and are open for visitors to experience before the Games. Come and tour the finished sites and ski the Nordic trails or try out the alpine course in winter. See it all before the athletes arrive!
