Preparing for Your Trip

As we approach the Games, the checklist items in this section will be frequently updated to help you plan your journey. Before confirming any booking we strongly advise you to be sure you have tickets.

Buy tickets to Olympic/Paralympic Winter Games

  • Tickets for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will go on sale October 3, 2008. The ticket-buying process will be staged in phases.
  • Canadian residents can buy their tickets through the Vancouver 2010 website.
  • Non-Canadian residents must purchase tickets through the authorized sales agent for their respective National Olympic Committee (NOC). For example, US citizens will purchase tickets through Jet Set Sports, the authorized ticket sales agent of the US Olympic Committee.
  • Paralympic Winter Games will go on sale on May 6, 2009.

Check entry requirements for Canada
Determine whether you are able to enter Canada, if you require a visa and if so, apply for your visa well in advance.

Book accommodation and travel
All ticket applicants will be notified regarding the sessions and/or packages they have secured. Once you receive notification, plan your itinerary and start booking travel and accommodation.

Verify accepted forms of payment
Visa is an Official Partner of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and only Visa cards and cash will be accepted at all venues.
