The Olympic and Paralympic experience for athletes, visitors, residents and media goes well beyond the activities that take place at the sport venues. Celebration sites — hosted by the City of Vancouver, City of Richmond and Resort Municipality of Whistler — are family-friendly environments featuring live performances, sponsor showcasing, recreational and cultural activities and much more throughout the Games.
David Lam Park and the former bus depot site at Georgia and Beatty Streets will come alive as locations for Live City Vancouver during the Olympic Winter Games. The two sites will be connected by pedestrian thoroughfares on Hamilton and Mainland Streets, passing through Yaletown. Celebrations will continue in the Georgia and Beatty Street location during the Paralympic Winter Games.
