Ceremonies are large-scale community celebrations that capture the spirit and unique personality of the host city, province and country, provide inspiring messages regarding the Olympic Movement and celebrate the world’s greatest athletes.
Cultural Olympiad
The Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad will showcase the finest in Canadian and international arts and culture through a series of three festivals.
Celebration Sites
The Olympic and Paralympic experience for athletes, visitors, residents and media goes well beyond the activities that take place at the sport venues. Celebration sites — hosted by the City of Vancouver, City of Richmond and Resort Municipality of Whistler — are family-friendly environments featuring live performances, sponsor showcasing, recreational and cultural activities and much more throughout the Games.
