Vancouver 2010 Web Linking Policy
A third party may link to content contained in the official
website of the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic
and Paralympic Winter Games ("VANOC"), www.vancouver2010.com (and
any other domain names used by VANOC) (“VANOC
Website”),
provided that:
(a) the link must be in a plain text-only format and must not
use the VANOC Emblem or any other VANOC, Olympic or Paralympic
Games logo or any other non-word mark, unless otherwise agreed to
in writing by VANOC;
(b) the link must be displayed in a proportionate manner,
spatially separated from, and not otherwise associated with, any
sponsorship advertising, or other commercial text or graphics
that may be on the page/area containing such word link; and
(c) a site (“Linking Website”) that
links to the VANOC Website must comply with the following
additional terms and conditions:

the Linking Website or the link itself must not be used as a method of creating an unauthorized association between an organization, business, goods or services (on the one hand) and VANOC, the 2010 Winter Games, the Olympic Brand or the Olympic Movement (on the other hand) or otherwise misrepresent the relationship of VANOC, the 2010 Winter Games, the Olympic Brand or the Olympic Movement with a third party or the Linking Website;

the Linking Website must not imply that VANOC is endorsing or sponsoring a third party or its products or services;

the Linking Website must not replicate content on the VANOC Website, except where such content is included in a syndicated vancouver2010.com RSS feed;

the Linking Website must not present false information about VANOC, the 2010 Winter Games or the Olympic Movement;
-
the Linking Website must not create a frame, browser or border environment around any of the content of the VANOC Website, including any frame, browser or border environment containing any sponsorship, advertising or other commercial text or graphics; and
-
the Linking Website must not contain materials that would violate any laws or contain content that could be construed as obscene, libelous, defamatory, or otherwise harmful to the Olympic Movement.
VANOC may update this Linking Policy from time to time and any
changes will be notified via an announcement on the VANOC Website,
which changes will be immediately effective after such notice has
been posted.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this
Linking Policy, VANOC reserves the right to deny or rescind
permission to link to the VANOC Website from any Linking Website
and by any third party, and to require termination of any link to
the VANOC Website, for any reason in the sole and absolute
discretion of VANOC.
The posting or creation of any link to the VANOC Website
signifies that you have read this Linking Policy and agree to abide
by the terms and conditions contained herein.
