Aboriginal Sport Circle
In 2005, VANOC signed a Statement of Cooperation with
the Aboriginal Sport Circle, Canada’s national voice
for Aboriginal sport. This statement declares our intention to work
together to take advantage of the opportunity the 2010 Games
provide to inspire and encourage more Aboriginal people to
participate in sport across the country.
One of the initiatives we’re pursuing together is the development of a virtual Aboriginal Sport Hall of Fame to celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal athletes, past and present.
