RFEOI No.1019 Venues' Aboriginal Arts Program

This Request for Expressions of Interest and Statement of Qualifications is issued by VANOC to pre-qualify Aboriginal artists interested in participating in the Venues’ Aboriginal Arts Program (VAAP). The program is founded on the themes of tradition, culture and education, through visually powerful art and informational signage.  The program celebrates and builds understanding of the rich cultures and traditions of the Aboriginal people in Canada.

The program spans over 15 Olympic and Paralympic venues and will recognize the uniqueness of each venue’s design and location through two main categories of work, including Four Host First Nation’s welcoming works and national feature artworks.

Please note, this is not a call for artists’ designs, themes or concepts for the venues.  Any submission containing such designs, themes or concepts will be disqualified.

Summary of Addendum:
This addendum is issued by VANOC to:
1. Extend the Closing date to September 5, 2008.
2. Update the manner in which the EOI Application may be submitted.
3. Provide clarification and guidance regarding application submission.
4. Provide response to general questions and answers as asked by Applicants.
