John McLaughlin
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
John McLaughlin is responsible for VANOC’s finance,
risk management, project scheduling, procurement and administrative
functions. McLaughlin was the chief architect of the 2001 Bid
Corporation’s financial plan and was named
VANOC’s Vice President/Comptroller in 2004.

A chartered accountant by training, McLaughlin’s
background includes financial positions with several of
BC’s major entertainment and sports events, such as
EXPO 86, MUSIC ’91 and the 1994 Commonwealth Games. He
has also held comptroller roles with manufacturing, education and
software companies. McLaughlin currently serves on the board of
directors for Sport BC. He is a graduate of Queen’s
University.
