Rusty Goepel is senior vice president of Raymond James Ltd, the
Canadian arm of Raymond James Inc, one of North
America’s largest full-service investment firms.

Currently on the Executive Committee of the BC Business Council,
Goepel is also active as a director with numerous corporations:
Amerigo Resources, AutoCanada Income Fund; Baytex Energy, Spur
Ventures, TELUS Inc. and Vancouver Airport Authority.
Goepel has been involved with the Vancouver 2010 Games since the
early bid days, when he served the Vancouver 2010 Bid Corporation
as a director and member of the Executive Committee, and chaired
the Nominating and Governance Committee.
A recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal for Business Leadership
and Community Service, Goepel is past governor of The Vancouver
Stock Exchange; past chair of the BC Business Council; and a past
member of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada Executive
Committee. In addition, he is a former governor of the Canadian
Olympic Committee.
Goepel holds a B.Comm (Honours) from the University of British
Columbia. A longtime golfer and former rugby player, he was a
director of the UBC Thunderbird golf program for more than a
decade. He continues to chair the Kidsport golf tournament, which
he has done every year since its inception in 1997.
Born in Kelowna, BC, Goepel now lives in Vancouver with his
wife, three children and two grandchildren.
