Richard Turner is president and chief executive officer of
TitanStar Investment Group Inc., a private company that provides
equity capital to mid-sized businesses and capital for real estate
developments and acquisitions. From 1988 – 2005, he
served as president, CEO and director of International Aviation
Terminals Inc., the operating subsidiary of the IAT Air Cargo
Facilities Income Fund.

Turner has for many years been involved in community and civic
activities. Currently he serves as governor for the Vancouver Board
of Trade; governor for the Business Council of British Columbia;
and chair of BoardofTrade.com Network Solutions Inc. He is also a
hearing member for the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada and
a director of Sora Group Wealth Advisors.
In the past, he has lent support to the Vancouver Police
Foundation Board; BC Children's Hospital; VGH & UBC Hospital
Foundation; the United Way Capital Campaign; BC Aviation Council,
and Collingwood School among other organizations.
From 1980-1988, Turner held various management positions with a
number of financial institutions in Canada, where he was
responsible for real estate, corporate and commercial lending
activity in British Columbia.
His achievements have been recognized with many awards and
honours, such as the ‘Canada’s Top 40 Under
40 award (1995). Other notable accolades include the Richmond
Chamber of Commerce Executive of the Year (1999); Vancouver Board
of Trade’s Leaders of Tomorrow Visionary Award (2001);
and H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee Award for
public service in Canada (2003).
An avid basketball player from a young age, Turner won a
scholarship to the prestigious US-based Conifer basketball camp in
1973. Later, in 1995 and 1996, he was an ambassador with the
Vancouver Grizzlies and part of a small group of people assembled
to help obtain the NBA franchise in Vancouver.
Turner holds a bachelor of commerce degree in finance from the
University of British Columbia as well as a diploma from the
Canadian Securities Institute.
Born in Edmonton, he now lives in West Vancouver.
