As part of its fourth season of New Music in New Places, the Canadian Music Centre presents four free events in the 2008 Cultural Olympiad featuring Canadian contemporary music performances by professional performers in non-traditional venues.

Critically-acclaimed musicians Heather Pawsey (soprano), Kathryn Cernauskas (flute), AK Coope (clarinet) and Rachel Kiyo Iwaasa (piano) present How(e) (Re)Sounds in the British Columbia Museum of Mining at Britannia Beach. Repertoire is inspired by themes of minerals and gems, caverns and caves, dreams and aspirations with a special nod to music dealing specifically with the history of mining in BC.
