Welcoming Athletes

VANOC will officially welcome each Olympic and Paralympic team to Vancouver and Whistler at the Athlete’s Village in the respective communities. During the Welcome Ceremony, the teams will be greeted by the honorary Village Mayor and we will raise their national flag to fly alongside the flags of Canada and the Olympic and Paralympic Movements.
